Jay Cutler Helps Ex Teammate in Vandy Pro Workout

It is not common when you sit in front of scouts showing off your passing skills without having to worry about playing well or not. The truth was Jay Cutler had already succeeded in doing so. But now it was time to help his good friend and ex-teammate Earl Bennett. And trust me he helped.

Jay Cutler came to Vanderbilt again this weekend to help with the Pro Day work out by throwing passes to draft prospects. He especially threw it to his favorite target when he was at Vanderbilt Earl Bennett who has become a first day draft prospect.

Though at the end of the day both players but on an especially good performance. Earl Bennett caught all 22 of the passes thrown to him by Cutler.

“He was more relaxed than I was,” Cutler said of Bennett to CBS News. “I had a lot of responsibility on my shoulders to get some good balls to him. I threw a few bad ones. He made some catches for me, and it turned out really well I think.”

But I think Jay Cutler might have not only helped the other teams up their hype of Earl Bennett but maybe the Broncos. Earl Bennett has become a prospect for the Broncs and if they are that good together maybe just maybe the Broncos could be thinking higher of Earl Bennett.

You are wise beyond your years. Bennett showed for 3 years he can separate from NFL caliber DB’s…several of the guys Bennett played well against at Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and the rest of the SEC are in the big show now.
