The Numbers Are In

2008 March 30
by Garrett Barnes

This week the Broncos announced the numbers on recently signed Center Casey Wiegmann and they are very surprising. It turns out that the Broncos are only spending a total of $1.23 million on him. This is includes everything from base salary to all of his possible bonuses.

In fact he costs less than the base salary of former restricted free-agent Chris Myers who was traded for merely a 6th round pick from the Texans. One of the big concerns this season was a tight budget when we cut 8 not team related workers.

A former Chief Chris Myers is now in his 30’s and was signed last week after trading Chris Myers to the Texans.
