Another Runningback?
That’s what it looks like as the Broncos have now officially signed RB Michael Pittman of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Pittman has got a good 11 years on him but still is playing at the top of his game with an average of 6.2 yards per game in 2007. He is ninth in the league in active career rushing yards with a grand total of 8,707 career yards from scrimmage.
Pittman spent most of his career with both the Cardinals and the Buccaneers.
This past year he saw time in 10 games (3 starts) and rushed 68 times for 286 yards (4.2 avg.) while catching 26 passes for 191 yards (7.3 avg.). He spent most of it sharing time with RB Cadillac Williams.
He will be one of 6 Running backs on the team. He will fight for the position along with players such as Ryan Torain, Selvin Young, Travis Henry, Mike Bell, and Andre Hall.
To make room on the roster, Marviel Underwood a Safety was cut from the roster.
