Broncos Shuffle Practice Squad

2009 November 3

Picture 4The Broncos today announced two moves on their practice squad roster. The first of which is the release of Darius Walker who had shown flashes of excellence with both the Denver Broncos this pre-season and the Texans as well.

The team also has moved Everette Pedescleaux to the IR officially ending his season. It had been reported earlier in the week that he was missing from practice, but since there is no injury report for the practice squad, we can only speculate on the injury.

Because of these spots, they have added Broncos 5th round pick from the Mike Shanahan era, Carlton Powell, who was cut earlier this season. Walkers replacement will be former Indianapolis Colt, Lance Bell. Last season he tallied 83 yards on over 10 carries against the Titans.

It’s disappointing to see Darius Walker cut after he showed so much potential and it’s a shame that Pedescleaux is out for the season. That said, Lance Bell and Carlton Powell are definitely worthy replacements.
